Port Adriano, the first port in Mallorca to obtain the “SAFE TOURISM” Certificate

Port Adriano has obtained the “SAFE TOURISM” certificate, a seal promoted by the Spanish Institute for Tourism Quality (ICTE), which is a guarantee and certification mark for the correct implementation of health safety measures against COVID-19.

To obtain this certificate, Port Adriano had to adapt its protocols to the guidelines of the Spanish standard “UNE 0066-15 Measures for reducing the contagion of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus” specifically for “Nautical sports facilities and nautical activities.”

The independent company SGS, a world leader in inspection, verification, analysis, and certification, was responsible for conducting the audit verifying compliance with the specifications established in the standard.
“Safe Tourism” conveys the concept of certified safe tourism and shows that Port Adriano is a committed entity helping to create a safe environment adapted to the new social reality. Many actions have been carried out to comply with the regulations, such as modifying or creating safety and hygiene protocols for different departments, controlling access and limiting capacity in critical areas, specific internal training on COVID-19 and use of PPE, increasing cleaning frequency of common areas, implementing signage, capacity control, etc.

ICTE: Spanish Institute for Tourism Quality (ICTE). It is a certification body for quality systems especially created for tourism companies. It is a Spanish private, independent, non-profit organization recognized nationwide.
